Fredy Alzate (Colombia, 1975)

Alzate, lives and works in Medellin. He studied Fine Arts in the Universidad de Antioquia, Medellín and did a Master in Artistic Production in the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá. He is interested in setting dystopian narratives from specific geographical or political contexts. Some distinctions obtained: First Prize in the XIX Rebecca and Arturo Rabinovich Hall, MAMM, 1999; he was also nominated to the VII Luis Caballero Award, Bogotá, 2012
